lyrics

When the border between worlds has grown thin & you can see the other sides of things, the spaceship shines its lights in your full moon eyes, your coat is stolen by a cat with colored wings, your coffee turns to rainbows before you can drink it, the devil smiles from under every dime, the air is hot & thick & the crows don't talk they tick, what else could it be but time?

Jessica gets letters from a wrestler, a pigeon brings them to her roof. Her eyes get hot & wet, full of tears & sweat, until she feels like living proof. There's a dog under her table with no bone to chew on & the name of every street feels like a sign. When you can feel the spin rate of every muon, what else could it be but time?

We used to sail silver seas. We used to cry silver tears. This planet won't be seen again for another 200 years. The sky on fire like 1000 sunsets. You might be living or you might be dying. Let the cries of waterbirds escort you down the hall of words. What else could it be but time?
